Luton (Stockwood) Park2008
Well, what can I say….what a fabulous day. The sun shone down on us all day, and we had an excellent show.
The club stand was great, we had a good turnout with 12 cars on the stand and a couple more outside. 7 PA’s and 5 e series. And also a couple of club members who couldn’t bring their cars but turned up anyway. Thanks very much to all of you, who made the day and my first club stand a success.
All the cars looked fabulous including our shiny Pink & White PA which was only painted a few days ago, didn’t run, and didn’t have any interior or windows in the doors, and lots of chrome missing, but who cares, it created a lot of interest. Plenty of photos were taken of all the cars, and all members who turned up should be proud.
We had a little celebration of Pink Champagne for the re-birth of the Pink Lady who is also 50 this month, and also to celebrate our first club stand, so all members (or those who wanted it) were given a glass to toast these. Once again a great big Thank you to all of you. We wouldn’t have a club without you, and these events, so lets hope things progress in the future and once our car is finished, I am hoping to have more club stands.
The new club banners looked great, and my little club regalia stand was good, with Rock n Roll music playing, (which was supplied by ‘DJ Pete’) and I had a few good sales over the day, and also signed up a new member, so welcome to Glenn & Leisa Birch from Norfolk who have a 1963 Green/Cream PB Cresta.
Many thanks to Pete & Sue Lane for their help on the day, cheers guys, you were great, and thanks to Steve and Brian for being couriers and bringing me some regalia, and Thanks again to all who turned up and made the club stand a success.
And a good day was had by all….
Well, that’s all for now folks….Happy Vauxhalling
